Apparently, giving up the puck to the opponent leads to opportunity to score more goals. Man some fans are so annoyed with that sweep, they cant think logically anymore.

The physical preparation to the 2 competitions in a row requires losing one of them to win another. All professional athletes choose which one to lose. On purpose. It calls prioritizing. Its a well know fact and used by everyone in every kind of sport, including hockey. The prime example in hockey of using this is team Canada. How they usually play preliminary games and how they usually play in playoff is a big difference. Apparently, the problem you have with my argument now is based on your lack of knowledge.

"Professional athletes throw games, any team can win 62 games if they didn't. If you don't know this you lack knowledge"

BTW your example is awful (per usual) given teams in international tournaments only 5 preliminary games in order to sort out their roster adjustments, that sample size is indictive of nothing and not at all relatable to an NHL team of familiar players over 82 games and multiple years.

    Clueless.
