Lots of guys have done this. Adam Fox was traded to the Rangers because he was going to free agency otherwise. Jimmy Vesey a while back. Muzzin didn’t sign with Pittsburgh. It happens. Kubalik didn’t come to LA. Of all the things to be upset about, not being able to sign a guy that didn’t want to play here has to be the absolute lowest on the list.

NO! We must complain about him more! Just like how the Kings failed to promise Bud Holloway a spot. Can you imagine how much better a season the Kings would have had in 2011-12 if the Kings promised him a roster spot and he played?

I would think you could still blame your team for not getting him to sign. Its not like the Hawks are great or a local team so he signed with them. But the prior offseasons they signed Kampf then Kahun as good talents out of central Europe who both had experience with Kubalik. So theres things they might of tried to do.

Even when the hawks got Panarin to choose them they signed his teammate Viktor Tikhinov to help him out. Little incentives to draw guys from overseas is needed sometimes.

I guess if you really want a player you make a good offer worthy of his talent, skill. I guess you don't understand negotiating? Iafallo is garbage and will never be a no 1 LWinger. He brings Kopi down as Brown has done for his whole career. Iafallo is a '93 and Kubalik is a 95. Iafallo has shown us what he'll become and is...Kubalik is scratching the surface buddy...Iafallo will never score 30 goals, may never score 20 goals...

Some teams will go the extra mile...GM Blake didn't and will come to bite him in the ass...

Lets see how the season plays out for Kubalik...then lets see how the career of a player the Kings should have signed, sealed and delivered onfolds before one pops-offs about things he knows nothing about and that's talent!

We don’t care. You and the rest of the Kubalik krew can follow him along like the groupies in Slap Shot.

A good offer? All. Offers. Must. Be. The. Same. It's an ELC. They can't be different, its in the CBA. There is no negotiation. The value and term is set. Done.

I'm not going to bother any more, it's not worth it. I honestly think you are being obtuse here on purpose. There's no way you don't understand how ELC's work, it's been explained here many times in the other thread about Kubalik.

You have love for the guy, I get it, you follow him. I don't dislike him at all, I don't care that he didn't sign with the Kings, this team has far bigger worries. I'm just calling him like I see it, he looks like a 3rd liner in what I've seen from him so far. Just an opinion. But for the last time, he chose where he was going. Chicago could not offer him any more than the Kings could. The Kings offered, he didn't sign. And that's it. It's not the Kings fault, it's not Blake's fault. It was what Kubalik wanted and that's fine. That's it for me on the topic.

That game shouldnt have gone to OT. So frustrating watching these guys not capitalizing on the chances they create, and then letting teams back in with silly breakdowns and awful special teams.

Definitely liked seeing Brown Clifford and MacD throwing their weight around. Lizzotte and Amadio had great all around games as well.

You know, the only time i noticed Kane was when he made that pass to Toews with the goalie pulled . Better coverage and that's not going in.

I thought the exact same thing when Kane was holding on to the puck.

Really pleasantly surprised by MacDermid's play. Not just the physical stuff, but moving the puck and his assertiveness in the offensive zone. Later on the same shift as his hit on Dach, he broke up an outnumbered attack by being aggressive.

It's all the Kings seemed to draft back then, projected 3rd liners. The entire farm system was full of them under Lombardi . At least a few could fight. Seriously, until last night, nobody even remembered him until the GDT was trolled by a fanboy.

I still got my Mersch jersey locked and ready!!

Yeah after the Brown bringing Kopitar down his whole career nonsense he definitely is just trying for reactions.

It'd be nice if we could at the very least focus on our power play. It's always been god awful.

If we could capitalize on just 1 power play per game it would be such a huge boost.

Haha I totally don't miss Dowd, Shore, Pearson, Rieder, Heiglan or Mersch.... But Trash eventually ends up any winning building by chance.

Did you notice Kubalik on the Black Hawks PP...Soon he'll play no 1 LWing or at least no 2! That Cat(DeBrincat) is pretty darn good! And so is Kubalik...better than anything the Kings can throw out at LWing!

What do you think Blake should have done to sign Kubalik? Sign a slew of other friends, team mates or countrymen so he’d finally sign with us? What should have been done? Why did he pick the hawks, what did they do to get him and has it paid off? Keep in mind our sad ass team just beat them.

Does Blake give prostate exams? Maybe he could have started there....
