Walker 4 Norris!
yep i think i said this earlier but i was super unimpressed with walker's camp but he's absolutely stepped up. walker is a massive boon to this team in its current state, (more than) serviceable and 100% affordable
bit scared to see what happens when forbort comes back
Unbelievable Carter and Amadio.
can you imagine the internal shame amadio must feel after that
i mean i've felt embarassed before if i did something stupid in front of 2 people, let alone 15 thousand
jesus man i'd curl up in the corner like a child
Don't worry about Amadio. There is no way there was 15,000 people in attendance.
You could see it on his face. He hit the post, but still he had plenty of time to skate it right into the net. It looked like he thought the Wild player was on top of him and had to take the shot earlier than he'd like.
It shouldn’t be surprising to see the Kings are amongst the worst shooting teams in the league, their forwards can’t even hit an empty net.
And what a world of difference it makes when this team plays without that winger who is forced to play center and the Russian who was a one trick pony who’s run out of tricks.
****, i'd be on board if i was getting that paycheck too
One very real positive tonight: structure.
Another very real positive: Quick was 100% in control tonight.
Was it just me, or was he playing deeper in his net? He was definitely making shorter, more controlled movements.
Quicks been getting better with each start.
How much do you think they miss Dusty Imoo being around now?
Bernstien was trying to get a juicy sound byte when asked about Kovy tonight, TMac wouldn't bite. Gave the answer above.
Quick has always been at his best when he plays relaxed. Him playing deeper in his net is always a good sign.
It's when he tries too hard and comes way out of his net and overplays everything that he gets in to trouble.
Very solid game tonight all around. Penalty kill was excellent, defense locked it down near the end, all 4 lines had their moments, Quick looked in control tonight. Thought we might blow there at the end after 2 of those empty nets. First time in a while the Kings win when I went to Staples
Was pretty brutal. However, he's doing some pretty elite steals, comes out with the puck on many battles, not by physicality; but with good hands and stick skills.. and some great thread passes out there. I think all of Carter, Toffoli and Amadio were 50 goal scorers in the OHL, so why not put them together? Should result in a few goals. If you saw Hutton talking after the game, they asked him who have you been most impressed with, that you really didn't know and now you're on the Kings...first player he said? Amadio. Mentioned his vision and how he sees the ice and can slow things down.
He's putting it together finally and hope he starts putting up some points.
yeah i'm definitely in amadio's camp
he may not be much more than a nick shore but i appreciate the defense and he's a sort of "enabler" for other guys
Probably one of the worst attended Kings games in the Staples era. No wonder I’m getting emails every day to buy tickets for cheap, practically giving them away for free.
Lot of people missed a good game, Quick looked like he was back to his old self.
Yep, Walker is growing into those minutes. Funny how he's got that #26 on..
Yup he looked great. If he plays like that not only will we win more games, his stats will come back to normal, and we can maybe even move him for the rebuild.
He had a very solid game. No additional movements. Always in control. No flopping. Great performance.
Funny how Quick’s solid performance coincides with the two players most likely to be out of position not being in the lineup. Attention to detail is preached by literally every coach, and we take for granted how much little things like failing to get a puck out of the zone on time can disrupt the game. You get a few guys stuck on the ice, the other team gets a full change, they get three or four shots, things are frantic, and next time a guy might not make the easy play because he tried it before and it didn’t end up working.
I’m interested to see how long Kempe will be out because everyone else looked pretty good tonight. Wagner and Luff will probably rotate in and out of the lineup, but I wonder if perhaps the Kings could trade Kempe for anything?
Only caught the first period. Good to see quick win a game with above 950SP
I mean, we'd need more righties, but I wonder if they keep Doughty and Walker together. That was a sweet pairing.
At times he even skates like him, makes me do a double take.
