And i always seem to forget this, when ever someone mentions this
I think the key with these smaller guys is them having a clear strength and identity.
Unfortunately Yamamoto hasn't been nearly as skilled or as fast as advertised as a pro. He's looking more like a jack-of-all-trades complementary middle six type of guy and I think that's when size can start being a limiting factor.
I think it was obvious DeBrincat was going to score goals at the NHL level. Caulfield is the same way.
No matter what happens, Cole will become the first 5 foot 7 (or smaller) player to be drafted in the 1st round
and that's an huge milestone for all smaller players.
As a guy who is 5’8” (on a good day) I’m really rooting for him lol
I'm almost 5 foot 11, but i'm rooting for him too
How dare you height flex on me lol Can’t you see I’m insecure?
Really hoping he falls to the Canes in the first.
don't worry brother I am also 5'8-5'9 ish
If I’m the Wild around pick 12, I’m taking a serious look at this guy.
Yeah, and he'll be able to bully 5'3" Dhooghe.
Im 5'11 and 3/4
5 foot 8 1/4
Sorry..... - You still way bigger than this guy
i'm only 6'3 ;((
The next DeBrincat
What I hope is that teams are able to look at Caufield as his own player instead of going "He's just like DeBrincat, he's going to have the same success" because that's extremely dangerous.
Kinda splitting hairs imo. Not to take anything away from Caufield, he'll be a heck of a player.
That's not even right. In draft combine Kailer Yamamoto was 5'7.5".
You're listed at 5'11'' on Hockeydb.
Maybe you should update your height.
What are the chances he jumps ship to the OHL next year?
The kid scores goals, and a lot of them. More than twice the amount than his future #1 OA teammate.
I have a feeling that teams are so mad about missing on DeBrincat that he won't be there past 10 OA.
He'll look good on Kotkaniemi's wing.....
I'd be happy to take him with the 15th pick.
actually have him mocked there as well - he would do very well there as I think teams still aren't ready yet to draft a player sub 5'9 in the top 10...Hawks currently at 12th could very much add him to play with DeBrincat down the road - what a sight that would be lol.
