Gave away 2 second round picks to get rid of the bum. Good job, Jarms!

If you admit that if you ignore the (current) warning signs (that you seem to judge have no value to the firing decision) the only way to tell if it is the right move is after the fact.

The only person who could keep Duclair from getting a hattie is John Tortorella

So the Jackets needed a W, why start Elvis? Bone-head move by Torts!

Lot's of changes need to happen and they need to happen now to save this season.

I don't think they constitute sufficient "warning". That would require having more evidence with which to evaluate that info.

Given the complete lack of hard evidence we have? Pretty much, although even then there's no way to be sure.

The original post blamed Jarno. I said Duclair and Karlsson are more on Torts than Jarmo. I don’t know how you can blame Jarmo at all for them. He originally got them for pennies on the dollar. They didn’t do much here so he traded them (edit: expansion draft for Karlsson). It’s not his fault they didn’t do much while here. Maybe it’s not Torts, but it’s certainly not Jarmo, that was my point.

Happy for Duclair. We sure could use offensive energy like that. Torts completely mishandled him and gave up on him way too early.
Still cannot believe we got rid of him and TWO second round draft picks for Dzingel. I'd much rather have Duclair and those two draft picks.

Nope , not at all. Overtime is 3 vs 3 and torts puts out a defenseman, And wennberg , and then 1 forward possibly capable of scoring . We deserved to lose for his idiotic decisions . Just Hilarious it was duke though . 3 goals for the duke , puts him at 18 in 33 games . But he was scratched for long periods here, and misused . Pull your head out of the sand man

Jarmo got rid of them. He's kept Wennberg.

If he truly recognized the talent then he would have kept Karlsson and Duclair and traded/bought out Wennberg.

Not that Torts doesn't share the blame. Torts will be gone by Christmas most likely and Jarmo can bring in his own man-I'm allowing for the theory that JD had a lot of input on Torts' hiring. I can't wait to see his coaching hire.

I am saying it is not on Torts or Jarmo. Guys go other places and play better all the time in all sports. Your first line blamed Torts, so I said it wasn't on him. I don't blame either guy. This kind of thing happens quite a bit. It happens the opposite way also, where players play worse when they leave.

In Jarmo’s defence, we don’t know he didn’t try to trade Wennberg but couldn’t find a partner. Also Duclair stapled to the bench is probably an asset worth giving up in a trade to improve the team. Had Torts enabled Duclair to do this in Columbus, Jarmo wouldn’t have needed to acquire Dzingle.

Duclair has been on like 5 or 6 teams, why is Torts the only one blamed after he finally has some success?

Only Duclair is responsible for how he played now and then. HE had to decide to grow up and not be a donkey. Teams just jettisoned a turd in each case.

Its funny because you have been saying they need to play more of the young guys and fix the power play. They have played the young guys more, went out and hired a guy that you love and said was Torts replacement, to fix the power play, and niether worked. The Jackets had good chances to win before overtime and couldn't convert. It was a team loss, and all you can do is complain about coaching. Maybe you need to get your head out of the sand.

    it isn’t about Duclair

Coaches get paid for players to perform to the potential
This team is not playing to its potential
    Therefore....
