Some of you may not have known, but Bobby Hull was pretty jacked.

There seems to be no shortage of jacked Hull pictures. I hadn't seen these ones though.

Hull's arms are approximately the size of my waist.

Did that man-beast ever spend an hour in the gym, or is that bulk just from mother's milk and farm work?

What gyms existed in those days? That was all from pitching hay at the family farm during the off season.

Pictures of hockey players with non-sports celebrities are always slightly weird, possibly because hockey doesn't seem to occupy the same celebrity area as movie stars.

This photo of Ron and Nancy Reagan with a half-naked Jari Kurri I find... disturbing:

If you didn't know who Kurri was, you might think Ron and Nancy were in Finland and happened to attend a toga party.

@James Laverance This is not photo but I found it nonetheless in my collection. It should be the Brooklyn Ice Palace, at least that's what the title of the pic says. I can't remember from where I sourced it but it should be some old NY paper or just an old paper or an old guide.

Thank you for the names of the Finnish players, and also thank you for pointing out the goalie Ylönen. :thumbu:
That photo had a caption that it was from 1974, but I studied it closer and the photo is from the 1978 World Championships, hence the confusion.

I don't think anybody had to "come up" with the idea. It's not exactly unusual. What was more rare was what they actually ended up doing, which was wearing helmets that were a different color than their pants with their non-white uniforms. At the time the Jets did this, only the New York Rangers - with the exact same color scheme - didn't have a helmet that matched the color of their pants for their colored uniforms.
